Real world connection-
  • Just as health professionals expect a patient to be an active participant in his or her health, this unit uses the same approach to involve a gifted student in his or her own education.
  • Institutions, businesses, and professionals develop mission statements and growth plans. This unit helps gifted students learn about themselves and then use that knowledge to develop a Gifted Learner Growth Plan.
  • This plan is a working document subject to constant revision with the support of a student's Community of Learners. The goal is to help the student become his or her own self-advocate.
